General terms. Basic terms for your business clients.
Fill in your details and choices: quotations, payment, complaints, liability and rights to your work. You get terms in plain language, and the sentence for your quotation to send them beforehand. Only then do they apply.
Make the termsContract for a client? What the law requires
Article 6:231 to 6:247 Dutch Civil Code.
| Send beforehand | Provide the terms before or at signing. Otherwise the client can annul them (6:233(b) and 6:234). |
|---|---|
| Digital | Digital is allowed, in a way the client can save them. If you only sell services, the rules are more relaxed (6:234(2), Chamber of Commerce). |
| Reasonable | A clause that is unreasonably onerous can be annulled by the client (6:233(a)). |
| Private clients | For private clients a black list and a grey list apply (6:236 and 6:237). Make a separate set for them. |
| Large clients | A large company or a party that always uses the same terms cannot rely on this protection (6:235). |
