Unclear agreements cost money

Employment terms often grow by themselves. Until an employee asks a question, or the tax authorities do.

  • Agreements are not on paper

What was promised about working from home, a car or a bonus? If it isn't written down anywhere, discussions arise.

  • Tax-free, or not?

A gift or allowance seems tax-free, but sometimes falls outside the rules. Then a levy follows afterwards.

  • A collective agreement you don't know well

A collective agreement sets the rules for a whole sector. If it applies to you, you have to follow it.

With clear employment terms and a well-used work-related costs scheme, everyone knows where they stand. And you pay no more tax than necessary.

Loose agreements, or a clear scheme

Loose agreements

What did we agree again?

Agreements per employee, spread over emails and conversations. No one knows exactly what applies.

A clear scheme

What applies to everyone?

One staff handbook stating what you offer and how it works. The same for everyone and checked for tax.

How we arrange your employment terms

  1. Mapping out

Which agreements apply now, which collective agreement applies and what do you already reimburse? We list it all.

  2. Drawing up the scheme

We draw up your employment terms and staff handbook, in plain language and by the rules.

  3. Classifying work-related costs

We determine what falls within the free allowance, what falls under a targeted exemption and where a final levy looms.

  4. Keeping it current

Rules and collective agreements change. Every year we check whether your scheme is still right and what you could use better.

    Every year

Because we can also run your payroll, the agreements go straight onto the payslip correctly.

Frequently asked questions

The work-related costs scheme (WKR) sets what you can reimburse or give your employees tax-free. You get a free allowance for this. On top of that, there are targeted exemptions, such as travel costs and training.

On the part above the free allowance, you as employer pay a final levy. That is a tax you pay yourself, not your employee. Good planning prevents this.

The free allowance is a percentage of your business's total wage bill. The percentage can change every year. We work it out for you.

That depends on your sector and sometimes on membership of an employers' organisation. Some collective agreements apply to an entire sector. We find out for you.

A document with the agreements that apply to all your employees, such as working hours, leave, allowances and working from home. That way you don't have to arrange it person by person.
