Our structure. Held in trust, not owned.

Alvelion works under the rules of stewardship instead of ownership. Whoever carries responsibility with us looks after the firm for the next generation. It is not for sale, and profit goes back into the work.

Why this matters

In our market, firms are bought up and merged. For clients, that often has consequences they did not choose themselves.

  • A new face after a takeover

Your regular adviser leaves or is given other clients. You start again with someone who doesn't know your business.

  • A different system and a higher fee

After a merger, the way of working changes. The bill goes up, because the purchase price has to be earned back.

  • Profit that leaves the firm

When profit goes to owners, it sits opposite your interests. A choice then has to be made again and again.

At Alvelion, that cannot happen. The firm is not for sale, and what we earn stays in the work.

Ownership, or stewardship

Ownership

What is the firm worth?

The firm is property. It can be sold, and the profit goes to whoever owns it.

Stewardship

What do we pass on?

The firm is held in trust. It is not for sale, and the profit goes back into the work, the people and the surroundings.

How stewardship works

  1. Responsibility held in trust

Whoever leads with us receives a task, not a possession. That responsibility is passed on, not sold or inherited.

  2. Profit stays in the work

We don't take profit out of the business. We reinvest it in our work, our people and the places where we are active.

    Every year

  3. Working independently

We work independently. Where external entities are involved with us, oversight lies with an independent body, which also includes outside lawyers.

  4. Passing on to the next generation

What one generation receives, it passes on unimpaired. That way the firm lasts longer than anyone who works there now.

That sounds weighty for an accounting firm. The reason is simple: a business owner who starts with us today still has the same firm on the other side of the table in twenty years.

What this means for you

No takeover

The firm is not for sale, not even if someone offered a lot of money for it.

The same team

You keep your regular team. No new face arrives because the firm changes hands.

No fee to recover a purchase price

There is no purchase price to earn back. You won't see it on your invoice.

Your interests first

We don't have to choose between your interests and a profit payout. That makes it easier to say no to work that isn't right.

Staying when times are hard

If things are harder for your business for a while, we stay by your side.

Investing in quality

What we earn goes into training, better processes and our people. You benefit from that.

In twenty years, you still have the same firm on the other side of the table.

Most firms are only as strong as the person who founded them. We deliberately set things up differently, so the firm continues to exist, even as people come and go.

Certainty

You know who you work with, now and later.

Independent

No owner steering towards a sale.

Honest advice

Advice without a stake in a profit payout.

Lasting quality

Profit goes to people and training.

Built to last

A business owner who starts today still has the same firm in twenty years.

Not for sale

The firm is held in trust and cannot be sold or inherited as property.

Profit stays within

We reinvest what we earn in the work, the people and the surroundings.

Selective

We choose deliberately who we work with. That way every client keeps a regular team.
