ABOUT US
About Alvelion
No scale, but structure
We are not a large office and we do not want to become one. We work with a limited number of entrepreneurs, so that everyone has a dedicated advisor who knows their business. What we offer in return is not size but the way we are structured.
Alvelion is part of a structure that has no owner. No one owns our office, no one can sell it, and no one can profit from it for themselves. That is not a promise in a brochure, but enshrined in our statutes. Those who hold authority with us keep it in trust and not in ownership.
What that means for you
In our market, offices are bought up and merged. For clients, that often means a new face, a different system, and a higher rate. That cannot happen with us: our office is not for sale, even if someone were to offer a lot of money for it.
What happens next is that we do not have to choose between your interest and that of a shareholder. There is no shareholder. What we earn goes to our work, our people, and the places where we are active. This makes it easier to say no to work that is not right, and to stay with a client when things get tough.
Where we work
We work from the Netherlands and other locations around the world. Our office in The Hague is the home base for our Dutch clients; part of our team works from the Philippines on the processing of administrations.
Our structure is set up so that each country manages its own affairs, according to its own law and with its own people, on equal footing with the others. We do not set up an office to benefit from low costs or tax advantages — our statutes explicitly exclude tax benefits as a reason for establishing ourselves somewhere. Where we work, we invest: in people, in training, and in the environment in which they live.
Built to last
Most offices are as strong as the person who founded them. We have consciously arranged that differently. Authority within our organisation is transferred, not inherited as a possession, and oversight is provided by an independent body that also includes lawyers who have nothing to do with us.
That sounds heavy for an administrative office. It has one simple reason: we want an entrepreneur who starts with us today to still have the same company in front of them in twenty years.
