From 1 January 2027 2.5% is added and from 1 May 2027 another 1.3%. Both tables are already in the cao. From 1 February 2026 €128 a month or €118 per four weeks was added.
Salary group A at 0 function years is the statutory minimum wage, for 38 hours a week and 261 working days a year. The cao shows the amount at the July 2025 minimum wage, but says the new minimum wage applies. We use the minimum wage on the date. The youth wages in group A are 50% to 90% of it.
Under the cao the hourly wage is 0.607% of the monthly salary or 0.658% of the four-weekly salary, at 38 hours a week (article 41). You also use that hourly wage for overtime and supplements.
This cao has no separate BBL table. An apprentice gets the salary of the job and age, and the weekly school day is paid (article 88). Someone who completes the BBL at 19 or 20 moves to the salary at 21 and 0 function years (article 44).
It is a good estimate: with the payroll tax credit, under state pension age and after the employee's PMT pension contribution. For an exact calculation use the gross to net calculator.
