Gross to net. What your employee keeps, per cao.
This calculator works from gross wage to net wage, the way the Tax Administration does. With the pension and funds of your cao, the net holiday pay and what the employee costs you. For 2026 and 2027.

Why this calculator goes further
Calculates like the Tax Administration
The payroll tax follows the rules of the white table. We checked the outcome against the official 2026 table, to the cent.
With your cao
Per cao we deduct the employee's share of the pension, the funds and the compulsory insurances. They come off the wage before the payroll tax is calculated.
Net and costs side by side
You see what the employee receives net and what they cost you. So you know what a pay rise brings them net, and what it costs you.
Frequently asked questions
Without a cao and with the payroll tax credit, the employee keeps about 2,613 euros net in 2026. 387 euros payroll tax is withheld. Under a cao with a pension fund, a pension contribution also comes off. The payroll tax is then a little lower, because the contribution comes off the wage.
Holiday pay and an end-of-year payment are taxed at the special rate. That rate has no tax credit, because the credit is already set off against the regular wage. At 3,000 euros per month the rate in 2026 is 40.2%. Of 2,880 euros holiday pay, about 1,722 euros is left net.
The general tax credit and the labour tax credit together. The employer deducts them from the payroll tax every month. An employee may only have them applied by one employer or benefit at a time. Without the credit, an employee on 3,000 euros gross in 2026 keeps about 1,929 euros net instead of 2,613 euros. They get the difference back through the tax return.
Yes. The employee's share of the pension contribution comes off the wage for payroll tax. The same goes for compulsory contributions to a cao fund, the PAWW and WGA gap insurance. So one euro of pension contribution costs the employee less than one euro net.
Under the Tax Plan 2027 the rate in the first bracket rises to 36.23%, but the tax credits also go up. At 3,000 euros gross per month, an employee without a cao keeps about 10 euros per month more in 2027. The House of Representatives votes on 12 November 2026, after which we update the figures.
No. The pdf is an indication and has a watermark. It is not a payslip, not a salary statement and not an employer's statement. For a mortgage, rental home or benefit your employee needs a real payslip or employer's statement. We make those in the payroll administration.
A payslip that is right
This calculator gives a good indication. A real payslip needs more: overtime, allowances, travel expenses, sickness and the agreements in the contract. We run the payroll administration, on time every month and in line with your cao.
