Frequently asked questions
Yes. The cao requires employers to grade every job with the latest Handbook Function Grading for Metal and Engineering and to tell the employee (article 10). You order the handbook from the Vakraad.
Function group 2 goes with salary group A, 3 with B, 4 with C, and so on up to function group 11 with salary group J.
Then employer and employee can ask the Vakraad to grade the job. That decision is binding (article 10 and appendix 3).
From the Handbook Function Grading for Metal and Engineering, 5th edition 2024. Some jobs are an official reference function there, shown by the code. We graded the other jobs with the description per function group of the function family in the handbook. The descriptions are in our own words. In doubt, ask us.
Would you rather we handled it?
We run payroll for installation companies under the Technical Installation cao: salary groups, function years, overtime, travel hours, PMT and OTIB. Tell us how many people you employ. You'll hear back within one working day.
