Frequently asked questions
On 1 January and 1 July 2026 by the same percentage as the minimum wage. On 1 July that was 1.9%. Group D in the Fashion table went from €15.23 to €15.52 an hour.
The structure is the same, the amounts differ slightly. In Fashion and Garden centres groups A and B share one scale. Home furnishings uses 37 hours a week, the others 38. Which table applies depends on where most of the turnover comes from. If in doubt, Fashion applies.
Steps of 2% above the top of the normal scale. The cao gives only the top amount, we calculate the steps in between. Only if you use performance-related pay can an employee with a very good appraisal get there.
At full time the monthly wage is the hourly wage times 164.67, in home furnishings times 160.33. Part time in proportion to the hours.
It is a good estimate: with the payroll tax credit, under state pension age and after the employee's Pensioenfonds Detailhandel pension contribution. For an exact calculation use the gross to net calculator.
